Dr Gwen Adshead photographed in her garden just before the rain turned up and soaked us! Photographing and meeting people like Gwen is why I do this job, an utterly fascinating shoot and incredibly interesting company. It’s not every day you meet someone who works with murderers.
Gwen Adshead is a Forensic Psychologist and has been a Consultant Psychotherapist at Broadmoor Hospital since the late ’90s, this barely scratches the surface of her professional career, needless to say, she’s accomplished a huge amount and helped a lot of people.
Shot for the Sunday Times Magazine and thanks as ever to Russ for the fascinating shoot and to Gwen Adshead for braving the cold and the rain!
As always this was lit with Profoto lighting but this was my first commission using the new Canon R5 system, over the past 3 years I have moved systems a couple of times being unhappy with various features of each, I am now happy! Finally, a camera that feels great and is good to use and that delivers all the resolution and video to over-deliver on even the most demanding jobs.
Here are a couple of portraits from the shoot.
